Exciting Update from the Edwardsburg Little League and the Edwardsburg Sports Complex...
We were first incorporated as the non-profit, Edwardsburg Junior Baseball League, in
August of 1964. Softball was added in 1973, and the following year our charter with Little
League International began. By the end of the 1970s, we were located on Max Street on
Edwardsburg Public Schools (EPS) property.
As of 2023, Edwardsburg Little League has served 4,700 local youth, ranging from 4-16
years old. This year alone we had record numbers with 507 players and 44 teams. Due to
the expansion of our schools, EPS has notified us that they will be in need of the land that has
housed our league for the past 40-plus years. Consequently, we are in the process of
establishing our new home at the Edwardsburg Sports Complex (ESC) which is located at
27566 US 12.
As of August 2024, we have raised $680,000 of our $800,000 goal. This amount
includes the $89,000 that was raised at our BASES LOADED 2023 dinner auction. We hope
to repeat this success at our BASES LOADED 2024 gala on Friday, November 1, 2024!
The current funds have assisted us in the following progress:
• The fields are leveled and marked
• Irrigation is installed and running
• The outfield grass has been planted and looks great
• Fencing on three fields
